Craig has been into water sports since the age of 6. When very young he got into sailing and canoeing but graduated to becoming a windsurfing instructor. He still tries to get out as often as possible, though since he set up MCC Marine in 2015 he says hasn’t been a lot!

Aged 18 he started being a skipper with Sunsail but had to get a ‘real job’ – he moved into sales, something he has remained in ever since. His first boat was a Sealine S28, which he lived aboard on the River Thames in Windsor for 18 months before selling her. While living aboard the boat, he maintained it very well and added extra features such as a quiet flush toilet, LED lighting and a new fresh water tank. Because of this he sold his pride and joy on at a profit, seeding the idea in his mind that one day he may sell boats for a living.

Craig then moved to Australia where he worked for two fishing boat manufacturers, Malibu and Tabs. There he developed a taste for going out to sea on Australian fishing boats, which he believes are in a different league to their European equivalents in terms of build quality and appearance.

Working in sales for many years, Craig has seen that customer service is the most important thing that a company can offer its customers. With his knowledge and experience in looking after motor cruisers and sports fishing boats, he can offer very good after sales service to help you own and maintain an excellent boat long after you have bought it from MCC Marine.

In 2015 Craig spotted an opportunity to set up his own boat sales business in Southampton, and sold his flat to start the business that focuses on the Quintrex fishing boat range, as well as GRP Mazury fishing boats and Maritimo luxury motor cruising boats out of his base at Hamble Point Marina near Southampton.

Craig has already exhibited at two Australian boat shows as well as the Southampton Boat Show in September 2016.
